Landscape Irrigation Technician

**Penske Automotive Group is seeking a reliable and motivated Landscape Irrigation Technician to maintain the appearance and health of our dealership grounds.** This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience maintaining **commercial irrigation systems** who also enjoys landscaping and grounds maintenance. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing irrigation systems while helping keep our dealership properties clean, safe, and visually appealing year-round. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering quality work, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys working outdoors. **Schedule:** - **Spring/Summer:** Monday--Friday, 5:00 AM -- 2:00 PM - **Fall/Winter:** Monday--Friday, 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM **Qualifications:** - **Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial landscape irrigation systems is required.** - **Experience with sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, timers, PVC repairs, and irrigation troubleshooting preferred.** - **Landscaping and grounds maintenance experience required.** - **Bilingual in English and Spanish required.** - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. - Positive attitude, teamwork, and strong communication skills. - Ability to safely work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work. - Valid driver's license with a good driving record preferred. **Responsibilities:** - Diagnose, repair, adjust, and maintain commercial irrigation and sprinkler systems to ensure proper operation. - Monitor irrigation performance and identify leaks, broken sprinkler heads, valve issues, timer/controller problems, and water coverage concerns. - Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal adjustments to irrigation systems. - Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and landscaped areas through mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and general grounds care. - Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as directed. - Remove debris, empty trash, and maintain clean, safe, and professional dealership grounds. - Operate, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on landscaping equipment and tools. - Ensure all work is completed safely while meeting company standards and maintaining an attractive dealership environment. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Why Join Us:** - Competitive pay & benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k w/ match) - Career growth opportunities with a Fortune 500 company - Named one of the "Best Dealerships to Work For" by Automotive News - Supportive, values-driven work culture If you're passionate about irrigation systems, landscaping, and creating beautiful commercial properties, we'd love to hear from you.
