POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Lance Operator operates and directs in the setup of operations on the Lancing machine. This position also functions as the data entry clerk to properly label, and tag identify all lanced material and is responsible for the overall quality of the product. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform set up of Lancing Line per customer specifications. Ability to make delicate machine adjustments to efficiently and accurately produce lance product. Set up welder to meet gauge and width requirements. Perform necessary welds as needed. Maintain log of welds and position of welds in spool. Monitor quality of lanced product during operation. Accurately and consistently log BNE information during the lancing process. Maintain a clear work area Perform routine maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Department. Assist in the training of new Associates. Participate in safety and other training programs as required. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. DESIRABLE JOB REQUISITES: Education/Training/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Strong analytical and reading skills. Working knowledge of micrometers and calipers Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to maintain a positive presence in the workplace.
