Lactation Consultant

## Description **Job Description:** Full-time M-F (8am-4:30pm) with one Saturday a month Clarion OB Department **Responsibilities:** · Provide inpatient and outpatient lactation support and conduct newborn weight checks · Teach childbirth and breastfeeding education classes one Saturday per month with a flex day off **Qualifications:** · RN Preferred · Current Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) credential at hire · BLS and AVADE certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire · Requires NRP, PALS and ACLS or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire · International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) preferred; required within3-5 years of hire **Provided Benefits:** IPERS Short-Term Disability (Employer Paid Coverage)—New York Life Basic Life and AD&D Insurance (Employer Paid Coverage)—New York Life Employee Assistance Program—Connections Access to professional services to help you deal with the following, but not limited to, financial, drug/alcohol or grief.
