The LAO performs activities related to laboratory quality control, specimen retention, recordkeeping, and inventory. Attends in-service training sessions sponsored by the department and continues personal growth by preparing for additional duties and responsibilities. **What you'll be doing:** - Inspect prepared slides produced daily by the laboratory. - Review laboratory case documentation for completeness and accuracy. - Perform quality checks on paperwork and slides using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). - Operate equipment to print documents and slide labels. - Identify and categorize discrepancies in cases before distribution. - Follow organizational standards and policy for performing assigned tasks. - Document and execute slide handoffs between departmental areas. - Receive laboratory materials, conduct inventory counts, and restock supplies using established systems. - Adhere to assigned procedures and report any deviations as necessary. - Assist in the filing and organ…
