We are looking for a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Testing Contractor to join our LIMS team in support of clinical patient testing in our high-throughput prenatal diagnostics lab. The LIMS Testing Contractor will be responsible for (1) testing new and updated LIMS workflows during development, and supporting user acceptance testing (2) suggesting fixes, participating in code review, and responding to operator issues during testing, (3) creating, filing, and tracking documents such as change requests and change notifications in our Quality Management System. This role will help to build upon the strong technology and execution found at BillionToOne. Responsibilities: Assist in testing and documenting new LIMS workflow versions Assist in performing LIMS code reviews, verifications, and validations Handle QA documentation for the LIMS team and keep relevant parties accountable Increase efficiency using AI tools and integration into manual processes Ensure compliance to all relevant corporate and regulatory requirements Requirements: Bachelor's degree with biological or computational focus Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose advanced technical issues Familiarity with Python (able to read and understand code to diagnose errors from tracebacks) Prior experience configuring LIMS or similar customer-facing production software Prior experience working in a research or production lab Strong attention to detail and ability to work flexibly and well under given timeframes Highly organized, strong written and verbal communication skills Enjoy a wide variety of daily tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Nice-To-Haves: Experience working in Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments / College of American Pathologists (CLIA / CAP) Lab, or other regulated laboratory Experience with data analysis using Python, SQL, or Excel Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and related regulations (CFR 21 Part 11, ISO 13485, etc) Benefits And Perks: Working alongside brilliant, kind, passionate and dedicated colleagues, in an empowering environment, toward a global vision, striving for a future in which transformative molecular diagnostics can help millions of patients The ability to indirectly or directly change the lives of hundreds of thousands patients Daily on-site lunches provided from top eateries A variety of perks on campus (state of the art gym, restaurant) Free on-site EV charging (compatible with all EVs, including Tesla) For this position, the base pay rate is: $33 per hour.
