Your next role as a Miracle Maker Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Custom Development team as a Laboratory Associate I . As a Laboratory Associate I, you will be responsible for lab bench sample preparation, chromatography, large format 2D-electrophoresis, spot counting, data analysis, and report writing and review. Demonstrated working knowledge of lab-based research, method development, testing, custom services life science or pharmaceutical industrial application is preferred. The Laboratory Associate I will execute protocols under the direct supervision of the Director, R&D. How you will make an impact: Receive, label, store, and report customer samples. Perform chromatography of customer samples via FPLC and 2D-PAGE. Analyze 2D-PAGE data with spot counting software and write reports. Author SOPs and develop new data analysis tools. Maintain lab instruments and consumable steady state levels. Maintaining sample inventory and defrosting refrigerators and freezers. Dispose of hazardous chemicals in compliance with EHS. Place purchase orders via ERP software. Record data in lab notebooks and data binders. Present data at lab meetings. Perform buffer exchange and sample concentrations. Develop and optimize workflows. Prepare LC solvents in scheduled intervals. Perform other functions and duties as required. The skills and experience that you will bring: Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or similar Life Science Associate degree with 2 years or BS and 1 year of biotechnology industry experience Experience documenting work in laboratory notebooks; GLP/GDP experience a plus. Experience running FPLC; executing protocols and analyzing data a plus Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
