This position starts at **$22.17/hour when filling in the position!** **Benefits include:** - 5 Days of Vacation, after 60 days of employment - Benefits at 60 days of employment, 401K contributions on day 1 of employment - 70% off quality Pilgrim’s poultry products - Training provided with a trainer/mentor. - Advancement opportunities - Better Futures Program –2 Year Community College tuition paid for you or your dependents! - Opportunity to grow your career through our Supervisor Development Program or Management Trainee Program At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is a Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. **Position Summary:** The **Back-Up Knife Sharpener** is responsible for maintaining all knives, scissors, and blades in good working condition to meet production/order fulfilment needs. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** **** Include the following; other duties may be assigned - Sharpens knives, scissors, and blades used for plant operation. - Cleans knives, scissors, and blades used for plant operation. - Monitors knife, scissors, and blade inventory. - Hones knives, scissors, and blades as needed. - Washes, dries, and oils tools for Maintenance. - Clean and organize work area. - Preform other duties as assigned. **Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** **** Other duties that might be required in this position - Flexibility of working hours based on daily needs of the department. **Expectations:** **** All Team Members - Trains others with the skills and knowledge gained from position. - Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
