Pay is $17–$20/hour. This Kitchen Prep/Cook role is all about solid execution: prep and cook menu items to standardized recipes, keep your workstation clean and organized, and stay sharp on food safety, sanitation, and temperature control. When things get busy, you’ll jump onto dishwashing, help receive deliveries, rotate inventory using FIFO, and support waste reduction so the kitchen runs smooth. You’ll do well here if you bring: - Knowledge of basic cooking techniques - Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards - Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools. - Understanding of inventory rotation (FIFO) and waste reduction practices. - Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. - Strong time management and multitasking abilities. - Knife skills and safe food preparation techniques. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Teamwork and communication skills. - Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs. - Problem-solving skills during busy service times. The day moves in quick rounds—prep, cook, portion, repeat—so the prepared foods case stays looking sharp. Between batches, you’ll tidy as you go, knock out dishes, and keep labels and storage dialed in. When a delivery rolls up, you’ll help put it away and rotate stock so nothing gets buried in the back.
