The Leadership School is an educational option that prepares students to be in the driver’s seat of their own learning and to navigate the path toward the lives they imagine for themselves. We are the first public charter school in St. Louis County, paving the way for educational choice and opportunity for all families in the St. Louis area. We opened our doors in 2022 and serve K-6 students in the Normandy area. Competencies & Qualifications - High expectations for all students and the belief that all children deserve a life of opportunity and choice - Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills - Ambition and a desire to grow every day based on data and feedback - A collaborative mindset, the belief that we are stronger together and a desire to uplift your teammates - A go-getter, change-maker mindset – the ability to create a plan, take initiative, and follow through - Experience working with children, and the belief that all children are capable of doing extraordinary things - Missouri teaching certificate - preferred Key Responsibilities - Internalize and own provided curricula to deliver high-quality instruction every single day - Prepare supplemental resources that lead students to a deep understanding of content and - Implement school-wide and classroom routines and procedures with fidelity to ensure a healthy learning environment - Inspire high levels of student motivation and investment in meeting behavioral and academic expectations by implementing and maintaining clear and consistent expectations - Analyze class and individual student performance, adjust lesson plans and instructional methods based on data, and create a long-term plan for unfinished learning - Communicate clearly and often with families to ensure alignment between school and home expectations What We Offer - Starting salaries of $50,000 and $70,000, comprehensive benefits and Missouri’s PSRS/PEERS membership - Weekly dedicated remote planning and preparation time for teachers - Work-free wellness days and professional development days throughout the year - Extended planning and development blocks to do a deep dive into preparing for lessons - 1:1 weekly coaching cycles and our team’s devotion and dedication to your growth - Leadership and advancement opportunities, 1:1 mentorship and career planning - Robust highly rated base curriculum with the autonomy to bring your own ideas and strategies into your lessons
