## Description | Job Title: | Paramedic | | --- | --- | | Department: | Emergency Medical Service | | Reports To: | KEMS Manager | | Status: | Seasonal | | Age: | 18 years or older | | **SUMMARY** | | --- | The primary purpose of an Emergency Medical Service Technician is to actively use your skills and certifications to help our guests get through some uncomfortable, and sometimes urgent medical emergencies. This is a seasonal position, reporting to the KEMS Manager. Park’s operational summer hours are typically Sunday through Tuesday 12pm to 8pm and Wednesday through Saturday 12pm to 9pm. During the parks season, evening and weekend hours are required. | **RESPONSIBILITIES** | | --- | - Answer phone or radio calls regarding medical emergencies and answer questions or direct guests or staff to someone who can - Perform required skills in an efficient manner and function in a low and high stress environment - Present yourself in a manner that shows a positive, compassionate, and caring attitude. - Maintain yourself in a respectable, clean, and presentable appearance. - Perform the required paperwork appropriately and within the required time restraints. - Follow direction and obey the rules, regulations, and guidelines of KEMS and Knoebels Amusement Resort. - PA Department of Health or National Registry Paramedic - Health Care Provider CPR - ACLS and PALS - Lift, push or pull 100 pounds - Ability to kneel, bend and crawl in confined spaces | **KEY COMPETENCIES** | | --- | - Candidate should possess strong communication skills, high degree of integrity, positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to solve problems - Candidate must have a current valid driver’s license - Candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships with guests, provide a high level of guest service, and be an effective member of a team - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy - Strong customer service skills, both internal and external - Maintain a positive attitude - Exceptional communication skills while relating to people in a friendly, professional manner - Self-motivated; acts without needing directions - Perform cleaning duties as needed to maintain a clean, safe work environment **** ***This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of this job.
