Position Overview: kdb+/q developers at Squarepoint work closely with researchers and traders to design, implement, test and maintain our service-oriented kdb+ architecture. As a kdb+/q developer, you will contribute to designing our model of reality, normalizing diverse datasets to generate it. You will also build robust, scalable infrastructure to expose data to users worldwide. You will have a high degree of responsibility, owning key parts of the infrastructure and acting as level 2+ support for critical services during live trading. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject Up to 4 years experience in a relevant role using kdb+/q Excellent written and verbal communication skills Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with us Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Nice to have: Experience designing, testing, optimizing and troubleshooting data intensive applications Experience analyzing and organizing financial data Experience with any of Python, C++, or Rust Experience with other database management systems and related technologies such as SQL
