**JOB SUMMARY:** Responsible for developing and managing the commercial and industrial loan relationships; interviewing applicants; collecting and analyzing financial, credit, and related information; negotiating provisions and structure of loans; making presentations to appropriate loan committee; cross-selling institution’s services; monitoring loan repayment activities. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Develops and retains commercial business, meeting with prospects and customers of moderate size and complexity in a designated region to achieve a moderate sales goal under limited supervision of more experienced personnel. - Makes calls independently and may accompany more experienced personnel on larger account visits. - Gathers related financial and general business information, may perform financial analyses needed to make credit decisions, participates in team credit decisions and communicates with prospects and customers to close sales. - Develops broader knowledge base of commercial and other products and services, including loan policy, documentation, structuring and regulatory requirements. - Continues developing growing network of outside referral sources for new business. - Ensures that work is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. - Performs other duties as assigned. **ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place. - May be required to attend sales and trade meetings as a Bank representative to develop new business and to gain information and leads on new business relationships. - Attend and participate in community events to promote the bank. - Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances. - Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. - Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** - No supervisory responsibilities. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:** - **Customer and Personal Service –** Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. - **Economics and Accounting—**Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data. - **English Language –** Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. - **Communication—** Good interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written. - **Sales and Marketing—**Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting, and selling products or services. Comfortable making cold calls on prospects - **Clerical—**Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Mircosoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology. - **Bank Secrecy Act –** In the performance of all the respective tasks and duties, employee will maintain knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security and bank policies and procedures. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** - Bachelor’s degree in related field of study - At least five years’ experience in related positions and or/training - Or equivalent combination of education and experience. **PHYSICAL/WORK CONDITIONS:** In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
