Junior Accountant (AU)

The firm provides a comprehensive range of accounting, taxation, audit, and business advisory services to individuals, businesses, and organizations. **What You'll Do** - Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - Perform bank and account reconciliations - Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation - Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities - Assist with BAS, GST, and other ATO reporting requirements - Maintain accurate and organized financial records - Communicate regularly with the Australian finance team regarding updates, clarifications, and reviews - Support audit preparation and respond to basic audit requests - Handle other ad hoc accounting tasks as directed by the client or senior accountant **What We're Looking For** - Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or a related field - Strong educational background in accounting principles and practices - CPA license is an advantage but not required - Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and tax requirements is a plus - Basic knowledge of accounting processes and principles - Strong Microsoft Excel skills - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Strong written and verbal English communication skills * * * **Nice to Have** You’ll have the opportunity to build your accounting career with an established Australian accounting firm, gaining hands-on exposure to Australian accounting practices while working with a diverse range of clients.
