We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-non ferrous and other exotic alloys. **Job Purpose:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the expert-level troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, repair, and preventative maintenance of our industrial CNC machine tools, with a primary focus on Niigata and Mazak equipment (including multi-axis mills, lathes, and machining centers). The ideal candidate will possess advanced electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aptitude, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, reliability, and safety in a fast-paced production environment. **Key Responsibilities** - **Troubleshooting & Repair:** Independently diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on Niigata and Mazak CNC machinery down to the component level. - **Preventative Maintenance (PM):** Execute scheduled and comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all assigned CNC equipment. Identify potential failures and proactively replace parts to minimize machine downtime. - **Controls & Electronics:** Troubleshoot and repair CNC control systems, servo drives, spindle drives, PLCs, and field sensors. Must have strong proficiency with Mazatrol, Fanuc, and other associated control systems used on Mazak and Niigata platforms. - **Mechanical Systems:** Repair and align machine tool mechanical systems, including ball screws, linear rails, guideways, gearboxes, and tool changers. - **Documentation:** Maintain accurate, up-to-date service records, PM logs, and compliance documentation. - **Continuous Improvement:** Develop and update preventative maintenance procedures using technical manuals, electrical/mechanical schematics, and vendor resources. - **Safety & Compliance:** Strictly adhere to all facility safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirements. Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials and machine chemicals. - **Collaboration:** Work closely with CNC operators, programmers, and production management to understand equipment issues, schedule repairs without heavily impacting production, and train operators on basic daily maintenance tasks. **Qualifications & Requirements** - **Experience:** Minimum of 5+ years of industrial machine maintenance experience, with a proven track record as a journeyman-level technician.
