As part of our team, you will collaborate to create custom solutions to meet customer needs and/or plant continuous improvement objectives using industrial automation techniques.** ## **Nature of Duties:** - **Mechanical Responsibilities** - **Design full solutions using CAD software.** - **Use fastening standards.** - **Use ergonomic design.** - **Good understanding of fluid power systems.** - **Oversee Fabrication.** - **Electrical Responsibilities** - **Design full controls systems using CAD software.** - **Design to NEC and ANSI codes.** - **Advanced computer programming knowledge using various software languages.** - **Oversee controls systems fabrication.** - **Controls Responsibilities** - **Program various PLCs and HMIs for use in a diverse manufacturing and production environment.** - **Setup and configure IO, VFDs, servo drives, vision systems, and any other intelligent devices.** - **Develop data collection specific per application.** - **Mechanical Responsibilities** - **Design full solutions using CAD software.** - **Use fastening standards.** - **Use ergonomic design.** - **Good understanding of fluid power systems.** - **Oversee Fabrication.** - **Electrical Responsibilities** - **Design full controls systems using CAD software.** - **Design to NEC and ANSI codes.** - **Advanced computer programming knowledge using various software languages.** - **Oversee controls systems fabrication.** - **Controls Responsibilities** - **Program various PLCs and HMIs for use in a diverse manufacturing and production environment.** - **Setup and configure IO, VFDs, servo drives, vision systems, and any other intelligent devices.** - **Develop data collection specific per application.** - **Understanding of safety controls, designs, and applicable standards including hazard assessment standards.** - **Actively interfacing with cross-functional team members, always practicing good team work.** - **Ensure all process development documents are completed in accordance with the Quality Management system to support a smooth transition to production.** - **Lead and Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives within the facility.** - **Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades.** ## **Education and Experience:** **Associates or Technical Degree or equivalent related experience.** - **Associates or Technical Degree or equivalent related experience.** - **2-4 years experience with the design and implementation of automated systems.** - **CAD Platforms: SolidWorks, AutoCAD Electrical** - **Controls Platforms: RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, Codesys, GX Works3** **Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer**
