Janitor/Sanitation Specialist

### **Job Summary:** Gummi World Manufacturing is seeking dedicated Sanitation Team Members to ensure our production facility meets the highest cleanliness and safety standards. This role is critical in maintaining a sanitary environment for food-grade production, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. ### **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, tools, and facility surfaces. - Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and sanitation schedules to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and other regulatory standards. - Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines. - Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. - Assist in waste disposal and recycling efforts to ensure proper handling of production waste. - Conduct inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness and report any deficiencies. - Work closely with production staff to ensure minimal downtime during cleaning operations. - Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Document cleaning and sanitation activities accurately. ### **Qualifications & Skills:** - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Experience in food manufacturing sanitation is a plus but not required. - Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, equipment, and procedures is beneficial. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. ### **Work Environment:** - Exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet conditions. - Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for long periods. - Cold or warm environments depending on facility conditions.
