As a family-owned e-commerce order fulfillment business, we have a comfortable and friendly atmosphere that accommodates a growing and diverse team. **Job Purpose** As our Warehouse Manager, you are the person with your thumb on the pulse of our distribution center and are responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, returns, inventory control, and maintenance. You are the liaison between our team members and the leadership team. You will use LEAN concepts to drive KPIs up and costs down. You personally have the ability to positively impact nearly all team members, our clients, as well as their end customers! Our Warehouse Manager uses problem-solving skills to overcome challenges that occur and find a way to limit them in the future. A quality Warehouse Manager is empathetic, able to personally work with team members of all abilities with dignity, respect, and fairness, and support them in their careers. You have direct influence over the productivity, processes, planning, training, equipment, and personnel, and you will oversee the day-to-day fulfillment operations, with a continuous focus on the company's operational objectives and our five core values... -Win over clients -Share knowledge -Do the right thing -Keep getting better -Celebrate successes! **Duties and Responsibilities** - Analyze ongoing operational workload within all departments to ensure expected turnaround times are being met. - Optimize employee workflow (e.g. cross-train, shift labor, organize workstations, submit requests for the appropriate supplies) in order to maximize productivity. - Help to establish warehouse departmental goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). - Evaluate metrics and work to continuously improve processes. - Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained. - Communicate with warehouse supervisors/leads to make critical decisions. - Make decisions about whether to terminate operations during slow periods. - Train new warehouse workers. **Qualifications** - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. - Demonstrated leadership and clear vision to manage staff, major projects, and new initiatives. - Has LEAN management experience and skills and is willing to partake in ongoing training and development to improve those skills. - Excels in a collaborative work environment, committed to getting the job done while effectively managing a diverse team. - Ability to analyze process metrics and identify ways to improve those metrics. - Communicate effectively with team members in and outside of the warehouse, both verbally (individually or in a group setting) and in writing. - Accomplished computer skills; proficient in Excel and Word.
