Our oxide provides the most consistent color and has the tightest color specifications in the market today. **Position Summary** We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at our Castle Hayne, NC manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving inventory accuracy, supporting working capital objectives, and ensuring reliable material availability to operations. This role moves beyond transactional storeroom duties and focuses on ownership of cycle count processes, variance analysis, inventory control systems, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position partners closely with Maintenance, Purchasing, and Finance to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies, reduce stockouts, and optimize inventory levels while maintaining service levels. **Job Duties** - Perform and validate inventory transactions - Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized - Ensure data integrity within ERP system - Own execution and continuous improvement of the cycle count program - Maintain and report inventory accuracy metrics - Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, negative balances, and stockouts - Perform and validate inventory adjustments in ERP system (JDE) - Analyze cycle count results and identify root causes of variances - Investigate stockouts, incorrect inventory transactions, and unreported material usage - Document findings and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence - Maintain compliance with 5S/6S standards and safety procedures - Works closely with the Maintenance, Purchasing, and Finance departments **Qualifications** - High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred - 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or MRO environment - Experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred - Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - High attention to detail and data accuracy - Ability to identify root causes and implement solutions - Effective communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision **Physical Requirements** - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods **Work Environment** - Industrial / manufacturing setting - Must follow all plant safety protocols and PPE requirements - Overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays may be required **Job Type:** Full-time **Pay:** $19.00 - $21.00 per hour **Benefits:** - 401(k) - 401(k) matching - Dental insurance - Employee assistance program - Flexible spending account - Health insurance - Health savings account - Life insurance - Paid time off - Referral program - Vision insurance Join us as we strive for to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all!
