This position works collaboratively with interventional radiologists, nursing, anesthesia, imaging, transport, and other members of the care team to prepare patients, equipment, supplies, and procedure rooms; assist during procedures; operate imaging equipment; maintain sterile technique; document procedure-related information; and support patient throughput, safety, and regulatory readiness within the Interventional Radiology department. **Essential** **Position Responsibilities** - Prepare procedure rooms, imaging equipment, supplies, contrast, sterile trays, devices, and related resources needed for interventional radiology procedures. - Assist interventional radiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by scrubbing, circulating, positioning patients, operating imaging equipment, and anticipating procedural needs within scope of practice. - Produce high-quality fluoroscopic and radiographic images to support accurate interpretation, procedural guidance, and patient care decisions. - Verify patient identity, procedure, laterality, consent status, orders, allergies, lab values, and other required pre-procedure information in partnership with nursing and provider team members. - Maintain sterile technique, infection prevention practices, radiation safety principles, and appropriate use of personal protective equipment throughout the procedure environment. - Monitor and document procedure-related information, including exam status, staff participation, supplies, implants, contrast, radiation exposure, and other required data according to departmental workflow and organizational policy. - Support patient movement and throughput by coordinating with IR nursing, transport, inpatient units, emergency services, perioperative services, and outpatient areas as needed. - Inspect, maintain, clean, stock, and report concerns related to imaging equipment, procedure rooms, supplies, and safety systems to promote readiness for daily operations and emergency cases. - Participate in call rotation, emergency response coverage, department huddles, quality improvement activities, regulatory readiness efforts, and ongoing competency validation as assigned. - Complete require…
