Interns enhance the service delivery at SCO Family of Services through their willing participation in program activities that enrich and compliment the programs in which they are placed. In placement, Interns will be offered an array of field experience that will effectively meet their learning needs related to engagement, assessment, interviewing, basic casework etc. Interns are expected to have flexibility to accommodate program need and are required to complete administrative tasks as associated with their placement functions. A qualified (SIFI Certified, or otherwise appropriately credentialed) licensed staff member will provide Interns with field instruction including 1-2 hours of supervision weekly. The Intern will have the opportunity to attend internal and external relevant seminars and workshops. Responsibilities: · Display a strong desire to learn about the special needs, treatment options, behavioral approaches for the individuals served through in-house education and participation with department staff. · Be willing to observe and participate in program functions to gain exposure to services offered. · Express an interest in improving assessment, oral and written communication, and engagement skills. · Have the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality and adhere to program regulations, policies, and procedures Statement SCO Family of Services is committed to ensuring the safety of our clients.
