Intern

## **Position Summary** The intern will provide therapeutic services to clients of all populations. They will collaborate closely with their supervisor to learn and expand their professional development. ## **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: - Lives out the INcompass Healthcare promise by consistently displaying compassion, treating all with dignity, and providing exceptional care for everyone. - Incorporates the six principles of trauma informed care throughout all aspects of their work. - Provide therapeutic services appropriate within the scope of the internship. - Attend group and individual supervision meetings weekly and promptly and with an openness to learning and receiving feedback. - Interact with a professional and ethical manner. - Plan, implement, evaluate, and report activities conducted. - Acts as a client advocate and empowers them in their treatment. - Coordinates communication and services provided by internal and external programs and agencies. - Complies with documentation requirements according to agency policies. - Completes administrative tasks, such as attending training, meetings, serving on committees as assigned, engaging in supervision as identified and according to policy. ## **Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)** - In a program for Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or other mental health related field. - Knowledge and basic skills related to their scope of practice within their internship. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to establish rapport with others as a requisite for healthy and therapeutic relationships - Ability to present oneself in an appropriately personable and professional manner to clients, community partners, and internal staff. - Ability to receive and utilize constructive feedback regarding performance, presentation, and relationships with others - Ability to remain calm, supportive and professional in psychological emergencies and/or crises - Knowledge of professional ethical standards and a commitment to keeping and working within these ethical standards. - Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural differences. **Our Benefits** - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - Prescription Coverage - Company Paid Life , AD&D and Disability Insurance - Company match up to 4.5% for 401k. - Generous PTO Plan, no wait period - Tuition Reimbursement - Unlimited employee referrals - Paid holidays
