Primary duty includes supporting bicycle and pedestrian safety analysis using GIS tools and data. The task includes obtaining and geocoding crash report information from the Police Department. Secondary tasks may include creating GIS transportation-related mapping, field data collection and / monitoring, administrative support, and assisting other divisions within GDOT. This person must have strong writing and communication skills. **This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.** **Minimum Qualifications:** - Current student or recent graduate from a 2 or 4-year accredited college ***with*** GIS experience - Able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week. **An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):** - Experience using database software
