At BTECH, you'll join a team dedicated to innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement while making a lasting impact on students, industry partners, and the community. ## What You'll Do As the Interior Design Department Head, you'll provide leadership for the department while maintaining a student-centered learning environment that reflects current industry standards and workforce needs. ### Leadership & Program Management - Lead the daily operations of the Interior Design department. - Develop and implement strategic goals that support program growth and student success. - Mentor, support, and evaluate faculty and staff. - Coordinate class schedules, staffing assignments, and departmental resources. - Manage departmental budgets and oversee equipment, supplies, and educational resources. - Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, college policies, and safety requirements. ### Teaching & Student Success - Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with approved curriculum. - Create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for industry careers. - Monitor student progress and provide academic support and guidance. - Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional classroom environment. - Promote student achievement, completion, and employment outcomes. ### Curriculum & Industry Engagement - Collaborate with faculty to develop and enhance curriculum. - Maintain strong relationships with industry professionals and advisory committees. - Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and workforce demands in interior design. - Identify opportunities for partnerships, internships, and community engagement. ### Communication & Collaboration - Build positive relationships with students, faculty, administration, employers, and community partners. - Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives. - Represent the college at industry and community events. - Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation. ## What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a creative leader, experienced educator, and industry professional who is committed to student success and program excellence. ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience in interior design, architecture, space planning, or a closely related field. - Leadership or supervisory experience in education, industry, or both. - Teaching, training, or mentoring experience. - Strong knowledge of current interior design practices, technologies, and industry trends. - Experience developing curriculum or training programs. - Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills. - Ability to build partnerships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. - Commitment to fostering a positive, professional, and student-focused culture. ## Benefits BTECH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - 401(k) Retirement Plan - Life Insurance - Health Savings Account (HSA) - Paid Time Off - Professional Development Opportunities ## Make an Impact This is your opportunity to lead a growing program, influence…
