These tasks include maintenance, decontamination, prepping, sterilization and proper handling and storage. Required Skills Clinical knowledge of sterile processing procedures and surgical instruments Independent performer Assertive Good interpersonal skills Team player Detail oriented Required Experience Required: High school graduate or GED One (1) year of experience in acute health care Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing LA City fire card within 6 months of employment Preferred: IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification preferred Previous experience in sterile processing preferred
