Instructor of Nursing

The School of Nursing is accepting applications for a full-time, term faculty instructor position. This role involves teaching in both the classroom and laboratory settings, as well as providing clinical oversight. We are looking for an experienced faculty member with expertise in medical-surgical nursing who is passionate about student-centered learning and holistic approaches in developing future nurses. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and committed to fostering an inclusive educational environment that supports the diverse needs of students. **Requirements:** - Completion of an approved registered nursing education program in a jurisdiction as defined in paragraph (S) of rule [4723-5-01](https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-administrative-code/rule-4723-5-01)of the Ohio Administrative Code. - Experience for at least two years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse. Recent clinical experience in high acuity/advanced Medical surgical nursing experience preferred; but other clinical specialties may be considered. - A master's degree. - If the individual does not possess a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree, the master's or other academic degree, including, but not limited to a Ph.D., shall be in nursing. - If the individual possesses a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree, the master's degree may be, but is not required to be, in nursing. - Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio. - Experience in academic nursing education. - Experience with adult students, simulation and/or online/hybrid online learning is highly desired. **Application Process:** Interested candidates should send: 1) a curriculum vitae, 2) unofficial copies of all academic transcripts, 3) names and addresses of three references, and 4) a letter of interest outlining the applicant's nursing experience, educational philosophy, and commitment to holistic nursing. **Please upload all requested materials to the resume drop box on the application.** **Capital University is currently unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider candidates who will require Visa sponsorship.** The review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
