State salary schedule, plus local supplement Position Purpose The Instructional Coach is a full-time teacher who partners with teachers and school leaders to strengthen instructional practices, enhance educator effectiveness, and improve student achievement. Through job-embedded coaching, collaboration, modeling, professional learning, and data-informed decision-making, the Instructional Coach builds teacher capacity and supports continuous school improvement. This position serves as a non-evaluative resource dedicated to fostering professional growth and promoting high-quality instruction that positively impacts student outcomes. Essential Functions Collaborate with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to develop and implement strategies that attract, recruit, support, and retain high-quality employees. Collaborate with teachers to improve instructional planning, delivery, and assessment practices. Model effective instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and best practices. Conduct classroom observations and provide non-evaluative feedback to teachers. Support the implementation of district curriculum, instructional frameworks, and state standards. Assist teachers in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs. Facilitate the integration of technology into classroom instruction. Support new teachers through mentoring, coaching, and onboarding activities. Facilitate and provide job-embedded professional development aligned with school and district goals. Assist teachers in analyzing student performance data to identify strengths, needs, and instructional priorities. Support the development and monitoring of interventions and enrichment plans. Help teachers establish measurable instructional goals based on student achievement data. Monitor progress toward school improvement and student achievement goals. Establish trusting relationships with teachers while maintaining confidentiality. Utilize coaching cycles that include goal setting, observation, feedback, reflection, and follow-up. Provide individualized support based on teacher needs and school priorities. Promote a culture of collaboration, reflection, and professional growth. Maintain accurate records of coaching activities and professional learning provided. Attend required district and school meeting, training, and professional development. Stay current on research-based instructional practices and educational trends. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal. Education and Experience Credential: Applicants must be certified with a valid elementary and/or Secondary teaching credential and meet the Professional Qualifications for the position. Education: Bachelor's degree, including all courses to meet credential requirements. Experience: Three years of successful classroom teaching experience. Has demonstrated experience in curriculum development at the school and/or district level. Qualifications: Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community. Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation. Must abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
