**Instructional Classroom Support Technician 2** **Department:** Manufacturing and Trades **Reports To:** Dean of Manufacturing and Trades **Salary range:** $23.01 - $30.90\* Hourly *This part-time position will remain open for a minimum of seven (7) days. The College reserves the right to close the recruitment at any time after the minimum posting period once a sufficient applicant pool has been established. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A.* This **part-time** position supports instructors and students in the classroom and during shop activities. This position performs professional and/or technical support activities involving the use of technical and/or academic knowledge, materials and techniques. - Prepares equipment and materials for class and shop projects - Assists instructors with lecture and shop materials - Assists instructors in demonstrating tools, equipment, methods, and materials - Sets up and cleans classroom and shop activities - Maintains shop equipment and resources through preventative maintenance - Receives materials and supplies used in classes **Minimum Qualifications** - Six (6) months industrial shop experience or equivalent academic lab/shop experience. - Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (ex. Excel/Word) - Highs school diploma or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications** - CAD/CAM experience - Advanced level student or graduate of Composites or Precision Machining programs - Experience working at a community college Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas for this position. Only candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States will be considered. Hourly employees must work 480 hours in a rolling six-month period to become eligible for health benefits. Hourly employees must work 70 hours in any five months for two consecutive years to become eligible for retirement.This is an hourly position scheduled to work up to 18 hours per week, with a salary of $23.01 - $30.90\* Hourly. They are not initially eligible for benefits upon hire but could qualify for the following. This is a part-time classified position. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A, when you have completed six months of probation, will increase 2 ranges upon a completing probation. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Associate (WPEA) Union. Classified positions qualify for the following benefits: Deferred Compensation Program (DRS) retirement savings plan; TIAA supplemental retirement savings plan, sick leave, paid holidays, Aflac, space available tuition waiver, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), fitness center, reduced rate, and priority consideration on-site childcare on a space available.
