Instructional Assistant Mild/Mod I PT JobID: 14848 Position Type: ESP - Special Education/Instructional Assistant Mild/Mod I PT Date Posted: 7/16/2026 Location: Fox Hollow Elementary Date Available: 2026-2027 School Year Additional Information: Show/Hide Position Summary We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Critical Needs Aides to work one-on-one or in small groups with specific students requiring specialized academic, physical, and personal care support. Key Responsibilities Instructional & Classroom Support Lesson Delivery: Assist in instructing students by implementing lesson plans and carrying out instructional activities, including stepping in to lead activities in the teacher's temporary absence. Assessment: Assist educational staff with student testing, progress monitoring, and ongoing assessments. Personal Care & Physical Support Daily Living Needs: Assist students with essential personal hygiene and toileting needs, including diapering and changing. Specialized Feeding: Administer nutritional support, including feeding students and assisting with G-Tube (gastrostomy tube) feedings. Mobility Assistance: Help students safely navigate the school environment using physical mobility and adaptive equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, walkers, or standers). Assistive Technology Support Device Integration: Guide and support students in utilizing assistive technology, including computers, tablets, communication/AAC devices, braille note-takers, and other adaptive equipment. Supervision & Safety Active Supervision: Ensure student safety and engagement across various environments, including classrooms, playgrounds, field trips, and job sites. Adaptability: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the student's safety, well-being, and academic success. Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion.
