Injection Operator - Days

## Description **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** *includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.* 1. Reads shop orders to determine machine number, shop order number, part number, and part description. 2. Operates Injection and Printing Machines by positioning components and removing finished parts as required. 3. Inspects parts for defects and promptly notifies Supervisor, Coordinator, or Technician of issues caused by machine malfunction. 4. Handles secondary jobs such as sonic welding, part trimming, weighing parts, or other assigned tasks. 5. Monitors material levels in machines and ensures grinders are operating properly. 6. Deburrs or deflashes plastic parts. 7. Packages plastic parts according to customer specifications. 8. Accurately completes production paperwork, shop orders, and labeling requirements. 9. Maintains housekeeping responsibilities, including sweeping, organizing, and putting away equipment after jobs are completed. 10. Uses the computer system to clock in/out of jobs and record required production data. 11. Identifies and corrects safety hazards, or promptly informs appropriate personnel. 12. Professionally and positively communicates with employees and management; responds to the needs of internal and external customers. 13. Serves as a positive example to other employees through compliance with company policies. 14. Projects enthusiasm about the company through positive interactions with others, including internal and external customers. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** None. **KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to operate a computer, use the telephone, sit, kneel, squat and lay. Frequent exposure to elements such as odors, oil, fumes and noise. Position requires the ability to understand and communicate instructions.
