The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, minor and major repair of both production and process equipment. Key Responsibilities: Provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment, systems, and building in a manufacturing environment. Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Fixes machine breakdowns in a prompt skillful manner, minimizing equipment downtime. Troubleshooting and repairing electrical (motors, solenoids, etc.). Troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic (air cylinders, electro-pneumatic solenoids, etc.). Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics (cylinders, motors, solenoids, etc.). Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations. Provides support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work. Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments. Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing PPE as required. Light construction consisting of framing, painting, plumbing, and miscellaneous repair duties. Skills for Success: Previous experience in an industrial environment or other related fields. Comfortable with manufacturing processes. Proven resource and problem solver. Must be hands-on, detail oriented. Ability to handle physical workload. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledgeable of diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications. Experience using a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work. Must be able to multi-task, work independently, and within a team structure. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Interpersonal skills. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma, or GED is required. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Maintenance and Troubleshooting. Intermediate electric maintenance knowledge.
