Summary: The Inbound / Inventory Supervisor is responsible for inventory integrity as well as active involvement in the receiving, shipping, and purchasing discrepancy resolution. The role includes working in conjunction with the Distribution Center (DC) Manager and alongside the warehouse staff to ensure product is received in a timely manner and the inventory accuracy exceeds company expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a team of inbound and inventory control associates Supervise all inbound and inventory control functions to achieve departmental objectives and metrics, including productivity, accuracy and safety; troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise using independent judgment Become DSCSA Tracelink SIT application subject matter expert, train receiving team on proper serialization track and trace processes Manage and direct warehouse staff, keeping worker safety as a top priority, closely followed by high quality and efficient productivity Engage with workers regularly to motivate and encourage job performance by communicating clear objectives and metrics, coaching and counseling and providing opportunities to facilitate growth and development Work with the DC Manager to help hire and train new warehouse staff Abide by and enforce company policies and state laws and regulations Partner with Operations Manager to implement, communicate and coach employees through operational or policy changes within the department and/or company; act as a change agent within the company and department, champion changes and coach employees to adopt change, as necessary Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning and tactical improvements to create a more efficient fulfillment system, improve safety, ease of work and/or customer experience Track and account for all incoming products Lead various inventory counts and manage reconciliation of discrepancies Monitor DC supplies and goods, ordering stock as needed Maintain receiving and cycle count documentation Perform audits to maintain compliance and reporting requirements Achieve and maintain forklift certification and operate a forklift, as needed Create and foster a culture of safety. Ensure DC is clean and organized ensuring there are no safety hazards Perform any aspect of Distribution Center Associate role as necessary to achieve objectives Additional job duties as assigned Skills/Experience Required: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree in supply chain, operations, business or related field a plus Previous supervisory experience working in a distribution center or similar setting Solid work history that demonstrates reliability Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) Forklift experience preferred Familiarity with an ERP or related software preferred Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management preferred Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training and operate machinery safely according to company protocol Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to quickly and easily shift between multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work well independently and as a member of a team Ability to quickly learn and use new software programs Must follow all safety standards, as determined by the company and state requirements Desire to continuously learn and grow Ability to motivate, manage and communicate effectively with a…
