(I) Laser Engraving Technician - 2nd shift

### Responsibilities | **JOB SUMMARY:** | | --- | Responsible for operating laser engraving equipment to accurately identify and mark various tools and inserts with correct corresponding identification numbers to ensure tooling controls are in place. | **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** | | --- | - Clean and prepare tooling for 2D Marking utilizing tool room die cleaning standard work. - Ensure proper placement of components in either storage or 2D Engraving equipment to avoid damage and ensure accurate engraving placement. - Utilize tool room inspection equipment to identify or confirm zero defects to tooling prior to use. - Confirm with Product Engineering correct tooling identifiers prior to engraving. - Attend training functions, possibly including after work study and/or travel to obtain technology updates. - Maintain a high attendance record. - Abide by plant safety rules and promote safety awareness. ### Qualifications **Qualifications:** - Prior experience using hand engraving or other mechanical tools used in a shop environment. - Moderate Microsoft Excel skills. - The ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings is required. - High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Addition training beyond the high school diploma is a plus. **EXPERIENCE:** - Basic shop equipment knowledge and skills preferred. - Mechanical aptitude is necessary. - Experience with overhead cranes and mobile equipment. - Handling and transportation of dies. - Experience with CAD/CAM systems is a plus. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** - Some heavy lifting up to 25 lbs. - Operation of mobile and other shop equipment - Use of hand tools - Minimal use of 10x magnifying glass **SKILLS AND ABILITIES:** - Mechanically inclined and strong troubleshooting skills - Proficient mathematical skills - Good hand eye coordination **Tools and equipment used to perform the job may include but are not limited to the following pending the employee skill set:** - Ultra-sonic cleaner, pneumatic impact wrenches, hand tools, stamps, measuring tools, die cleaning equipment, drill and tool sharpening machines, computers, overhead cranes, and measurement/inspection equipment. ### About the Company Howmet Aerospace Inc.
