**Position:** HVAC Service Technician **Reports to:** Field Supervisor and Service Manager **General Job Description:** The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for making service calls to multi-family and light commercial properties for repair and maintenance. Will make a diagnosis and make repair on site. **Responsibilities:** - Diagnose HVAC air handlers and condensers. - Responsible for inputting service notes and photos in field service application. - Work with Project Manager on ordering parts. - Communicate with property management. - Keep work vehicle stocked with appropriate parts and maintain accurate inventory counts. **Qualifications:** - High School Diploma or equivalent. - 3+ years of previous experience in HVAC - Ability to handle physical workload - Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, - EPA certification. - Valid Texas Driver’s License. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** - Basic computer/tablet knowledge. - Low voltage troubleshooting. - Conventional HVAC system changeout knowledge. - Compressor changeouts. **Desired qualifications:** - VRF, mini split package units training or experience. - Experience diagnosing HVAC issues in multi-family apartment buildings. **Essential Physical Functions:** - Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs. Capable of working on rooftops. - Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. - Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally. - Subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods of time.
