For more information about OLH and our guiding principles, visit our corporate website at www.olhinc.com HVAC SENIOR DESIGNER - 7501- Greenville, SC Duration: 1 YEAR with two (2) 1 Year Renewal Options One (1) Position Available US Citizenship Required DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Highly skilled in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with demonstrated experience with computer aided. Use drafting applications to originate and produce drawings and 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity. 3D modeling experience required (S3D preferred). Read, interpret, and generate design drawings of moderate to advanced complexity with minimal supervision from engineering. Must have the ability to walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate advanced design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings, and direct, check and approve work done by other designers. Ability to develop estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, key quantities tracking reports, project scope of services, scope of facilities etc. WORK HOURS: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10�s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80�s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education: A combination of education and ten (10) years of experience (associates degree preferred) in drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred). Experience: Must have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design. Background and experience must include drafting / designer experience in engineering fields, such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection, or civil. Discipline Specific Job Requirements: Advanced knowledge in the design of Heating, Ventilation and Air- Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Development of HVAC load calculations. Development of HVAC air flow diagrams and instrument diagrams. Development of HVAC system sequence of operation narratives. Sizing and specification of air handling units and other equipment. HVAC main duct and distribution duct sizing and routing. Development of black utility (chiller, boiler, custom Air Handling Unit (AHU), air compressor and cooling tower) specifications based upon sizing data provided by Process.
