HVAC Repair Technician

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled, customer-focused **HVAC Service Technician** to join our growing team. In this role, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Our technicians perform warranty and repair service, provide homeowners with professional recommendations, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Diagnose and repair residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, thermostats, and indoor air quality systems. - Perform warranty service calls in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines. - Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and airflow-related issues. - Conduct system inspections and preventive maintenance services. - Complete warranty documentation, service reports, and parts requests accurately and promptly. - Communicate findings and repair recommendations to homeowners in a professional manner. - Verify proper system operation after repairs and ensure customer satisfaction. - Maintain service vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory. - Follow all safety procedures, EPA regulations, and company policies. - Collaborate with dispatchers, warranty administrators, manufacturers, and management to resolve service issues efficiently. - Participate in on-call rotation and emergency service coverage as required. ### Qualifications and Requirements - High school diploma or GED required. - HVAC certification or technical school training preferred. - EPA Section 608 Certification required. - Minimum 2–5 years of residential HVAC service experience preferred. - Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostic procedures, refrigeration systems, electrical troubleshooting, and airflow principles. - Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. - Excellent customer service and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls. **Benefits:** - Competitive base pay based on experience. - Uncapped commission potential – our top-performing technicians earn $80,000–$140,000+ annually. - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. - 401(k) with company match. - Paid time off and paid holidays. - Company vehicle, tools, uniforms, and iPad provided (if applicable). - Ongoing paid training and clear opportunities for career growth and advancement. **Work Environment:** Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust.
