HVAC Helper

**HVAC Helper** **Location:** Des Moines, IA **Pay:** $23.60 per hour **What you will be doing:** - Assist in the maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication. - Assist with repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes. - Assist with rebuilds HVAC & applied equipment. - Receive detailed direction while sharing the hands-on task responsibilities with Technicians II, III, and IV. - Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication. - Interact with customer by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call. Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audience. - Basic data entry and ability to navigate a computer or smart phone for use of email, internet, Microsoft applications and other tools as required. - Wear company uniform and required safety PPE, perform job hazard analysis. - Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld.
