Human Resources Generalist

**Job Title:** Human Resources Generalist **Job Summary:** The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department and the full employee lifecycle at Lake Winnepesaukah. This position partners closely with leadership and frontline teams to create a positive, safe, and engaging work environment for a diverse workforce that includes full-time and seasonal employees. The ideal candidate is hands-on, approachable, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. **Job Responsibilities:** - Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. - Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. - Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. - Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; recognition, and morale; and training and development. - Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. - Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. - Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. - Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and employment law. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Education and Experience:** - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. - At least one year of human resource management experience required. **Physical Requirements:** - Office-based role with frequent interaction with employees and management. - Requires walking throughout park grounds. - Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods. - Flexible scheduling may be required during peak operating seasons. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks. - Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. - Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. - Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations' payroll systems. **Perks and Benefits:** - Complimentary passes for you and your immediate family. - Discounts on food, beverages, and merchandise. - Opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic team environment. ### Benefits Complimentary passes, discounts on food and retail merchandise, and so much more!
