We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **Human Resources Assistant** to join our team. As a key member of our HR team, you will help create a positive employee experience by supporting recruitment, onboarding, benefits, HR administration, and employee engagement initiatives. **Primary Responsibilities:** - Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation - Serve as a first point of contact for employee and applicant questions regarding policies, benefits, onboarding, and HR processes - Ensure compliance through regular audits of HR files and records - Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department - Assist with payroll-related inquiries and processing support - Coordinate with benefit providers and external vendors to support employee programs - Help facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs - Support employee engagement events, recognition programs, benefits enrollment activities, holiday celebrations, and organizational meetings - Contribute to creating a welcoming and positive workplace culture **Qualities best suited for the position:** - Organized and detail-oriented - Professional and dependable - A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills - Comfortable learning new technologies and systems - Ethical, culturally aware, and respectful of confidentiality - A proactive problem solver who enjoys helping others - Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - Minimum high school diploma required - Associates degree preferred - Minimum three (3) years administrative/clerical experience required - Minimum one (1) year direct HR experience preferred - Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; experience with Paycom preferred - Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion required - Referral Bonuses - Free parking and meals - Advanced training opportunities We are committed to advocacy for children with special needs, care and compassion, and focusing on the inherent strengths of children, youth and families without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or gender.
