Hospice Austin has multiple openings for part-time palliative care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role. Under the supervision of the Medical Director work as part of the interdisciplinary team to manage symptoms related to life limiting conditions. **What you will own** - Provide direct client care consultations, to include participation in patient and family counseling and management of symptoms related to life-limiting conditions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains - Take clinical call for palliative care/hospice clients - Create and maintain accurate patient records - Teach and mentor nurses and other staff to obtain quality care outcomes, efficiently with excellent patient and family experience - Practice within the scope of license, certification or registration, where applicable, and as required by law and regulation - Serve as clinical resource for staff of Hospice Austin/Austin Palliative Care, staff at facilities served, and providers in the community **Skills you will bring to the table** - Team mindset - Extremely empathetic and compassionate - Energetic and alert at night - Ability to stay calm in a crisis - Strong interpersonal communication (written and spoken) - Culturally sensitive and empathetic - Proficient computer skills (Word, Outlook, etc.) - Flexibility in shift coverage or swap - Familiarity with electronic documentation programs **Non-negotiables** - MUST HAVE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license - License must be from an approved school as determined by the Board of Nurse Examiners - Valid TX driver's license: - Valid auto insurance - Clean driving record **Perks** - PTO, sick days, paid holidays - Health, dental, and vision benefits - Retirement * * * **What's next?** Ready to join Hospice Austin? 1.
