**Job Summary** Under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources, responsible for the daily combined operations of the Human Resources department. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle while serving as a key backup and process improvement partner for payroll operations. This role blends hands-on HR generalist responsibilities with HRIS, payroll support, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, systems-savvy, assertive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities** **HR Generalist Functions** - Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, benefits enrollment, and employee records management. - Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, responding to HR-related inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and systems. - Partner with employees and leaders to support positive employee relations, performance improvement, and fair, consistent application of progressive discipline. - Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and employee development initiatives. - Complete monthly benefits billing and streamline billing processes. - Complete employment verifications and unemployment requests. - Provide training to employees relative to timekeeping and benefits enrollment. - Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. - Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR processes and best practices. **Payroll Support & Backup** - Serve as backup for payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution. - Review payroll data for accuracy, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and timekeeping information. - Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting. - Support resolution of payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and urgency. - Maintain strong understanding of payroll compliance, including wage and hour laws. **HRIS & HRIS Implementation** - Act as an HRIS administrator and subject matter expert. - Support HRIS implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations. - Maintain data integrity across HR systems, ensuring accurate employee records and reporting. - Develop and maintain HR and payroll reports to support business and compliance needs. - Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to troubleshoot system issues and improve system functionality. **Projects & Process Improvement** - Lead and support HR and payroll-related projects, including system implementations, policy updates, and process redesign. - Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR and payroll processes, with a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience. - Document standard operating procedures. - Support change management efforts related to new systems, processes, or initiatives. - Support the compensation process by participating in external compensation studies and conducting market analyses; evaluate findings and make recommendations for salary ranges, bonus structures, and incentive plans to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness. **Compliance & Administration** - Ensure compliance with employment laws, payroll regulations, and internal controls. - Assist with audits (internal and external), data requests, and regulatory reporting. - Maintain confidential employee information with the highest level of discretion. - All other duties as assigned. **Core Values:** Integrity: We are honest, hardworking, fiscally responsible professionals driven solely by the wellbeing of our patients, their loved ones, and the communities we serve.
