This role is responsible for leading employee relations initiatives, conducting workplace investigations, driving performance management practices, mitigating organizational risk, and ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment laws. The HRBP acts as the primary owner of employee relations matters, partnering with leaders to address complex employee concerns, provide coaching and guidance, and develop proactive solutions that support both business objectives and employee engagement. Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong business acumen, exceptional investigative skills, and the ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** **Employee Relations & Investigations** - Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters across assigned regions. - Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy violations, workplace misconduct, and other employee concerns. - Analyze investigation findings and provide clear recommendations regarding corrective action and risk mitigation. - Prepare detailed investigative documentation and maintain confidential records. - Partner with legal counsel and senior leadership as needed on complex employee relations matters. **Performance Management** - Coach managers on performance management best practices, documentation standards, and corrective action processes. - Provide guidance regarding coaching conversations, written warnings, performance improvement plans, and terminations. - Review and assess employee performance concerns and recommend appropriate courses of action. - Support the organization's performance review process and drive accountability among leaders. **Strategic Business Partnership** - Build strong relationships with Regional Property Managers and operational leaders to understand business challenges and workforce needs. - Serve as a trusted advisor by providing proactive HR guidance and recommendations. - Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. - Partner with leaders to develop action plans that improve team performance and workplace culture. **Leadership Coaching & Development** - Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, conflict resolution, employee engagement, communication, and team development. - Facilitate manager training programs and leadership development initiatives. - Support leaders in navigating difficult employee conversations and organizational changes. **Compliance & Risk Management** - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. - Interpret and apply company policies consistently and fairly. - Identify potential employee relations risks and develop strategies to reduce liability. - Support responses to unemployment claims, agency inquiries, and employment-related audits as needed. **Workforce Analytics & Organizational Effectiveness** - Analyze employee relations trends, turnover data, and workplace concerns to identify opportunities for improvement. - Partner with leadership to develop retention and eng…
