The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors within the facility. This role supports infection prevention efforts and helps ensure compliance with health and safety standards in long-term care. ### Key Responsibilities - Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas. - Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces throughout the facility. - Empty trash and replace liners in resident rooms and common areas. - Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, handrails, and equipment. - Follow infection control procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals. - Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper. - Respond to housekeeping requests from nursing staff and residents. - Follow facility safety policies and proper waste disposal procedures. - Assist with terminal cleaning of rooms after resident discharge or transfer. - Maintain housekeeping carts and equipment in a clean and organized condition. - High school diploma or GED preferred. - Previous housekeeping experience in **healthcare, long-term care, or hospitality** preferred. - Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and infection control practices. - Ability to follow safety procedures and facility policies. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
