**JOB** **DESCRIPTION** **POSITION TITLE:**Home Delivery Coordinator **DEPARTMENT:**Delivery **FLSA STATUS:**Non-Exempt **PAY GRADE:** 3 **REPORTS TO:** Program Manager - Seniors **GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES** Coordinates delivery of home delivered meals to home-bound participants in the Tolland County. Recruits and instructs volunteers for delivery of meals. **SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position. - Work with Program Manager to maintain accepted standards of food sanitation and safety regarding maintenance of proper food temperature. - Establish a network of volunteers and delivery routes for meal delivery. - Responsible for ensuring delivery of meals to clients. - Conducts semi-annual assessments to determine whether clients still meet the eligibility requirements for home delivered meals. - Receive calls from drivers when any problems might occur, and report concerns to Program Manager. - Check labels on meals for accuracy. # ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Provide coverage for various positions when necessary. - Performs all other duties as assigned. **MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE** Education: High school graduate or GED preferred Minimum Years of Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience Active Certification in good standing: Valid Driver’s license and good driving record is required Demonstrate skills: Good customer service skills. Must have knowledge of basic computer skills. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills Knowledge: Prior work with the elderly and volunteers or non-profit agencies. Bilingual: preferred Language: Spanish Driving Required: **YES** Agency Vehicle: **No** Employee’s Own Vehicle: **Yes** with proof of auto liability insurance ***Active Driver License in good standing required upon hire and throughout employment*** **ADA COMPLIANCE** **Physical Ability**: Tasks involve the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds). S**ensory Requirements**: Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability. **Environmental Factors**: Tasks are regularly performed with potential exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as strong odors, fumes, dusts, wetness, humidity, machinery, and toxic/poisonous agents. **MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE** Education: High school graduate or GED preferred Minimum Years of Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience Active Certification in good standing: Valid Driver’s license and good driving record is required Demonstrate skills: Good customer service skills.
