## Overview A wonderful family in the West Village is seeking a part-time live-out Family Assistant for approximately 28 hours a week. The schedule is Monday through Thursday 12pm-7pm. The family has 2 children ages 4-years-old and 7-years-old who are in school full-time. They have 1 dog. ## Responsibilities - Cooking: primarily family dinners. Simple, healthy meals for the family, with leftovers for lunches when possible. No food allergies or major dietary restrictions - Light housekeeping: keeping the kitchen tidy, loading/unloading the dishwasher, wiping counters, light vacuuming/sweeping as needed, organizing the children's areas, and generally helping keep the house running smoothly. They're not looking for deep cleaning - Family laundry - School pickup - Helping with their two children's afternoon/evening routine (bath and dinner) ## Requirements - A candidate who is warm, proactive, organized, dependable, and who enjoys becoming part of a family's long-term routine ## Salary and Benefits - $40–45/hour, commensurate with experience - Two weeks of paid vacation, with scheduling coordinated in advance and, where practical, around the family's travel schedule - Paid sick days (5) - Major holidays off and paid - MetroCard or reasonable commuting reimbursement - No healthcare stipend
