This position is responsible for all aspects of hiring for the location(s) and/or area assigned. The Hiring Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring we are efficiently and effectively hiring the best possible talent. **Primary Job Responsibilities** - Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements. - Contact applicants within three (3) hours when possible. - Conduct interview, informing applicants about the job and company. Determine if applicants are a fit for the job. - Schedule pre-employment ridealong for applicants with local manager or another designated individual. - Gather required documents from applicants. - Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the required systems. - Coordinate pre-employment drug and alcohol tests at local clinics. - Facilitate pre-employment testing. - Work closely with HR to determine if missing any hiring items, keeping applicants actively moving through the hiring process. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. - Perform other related duties as required and assigned. **Required Education and Experience** - Associate degree or equivalent in human resources or related business field. - Two to three years recruiting or management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Preferred Education and Experience** - BS in human resources or related business field. - Recruiting or management experience in transportation industry. - HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR. **Computer Skill Requirements** - Demonstrated experience with MS Office Products. - Exceptional Outlook knowledge. - HRIS systems experience. **Physical Qualifications** - Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. - Position requires extended periods of time sitting. - Position requires extended periods of telephone and computer use. - Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. **Personal Qualifications** - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Strong organizational skills. - Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative and be assertive. - Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring. \*Ability to quickly learn systems.
