Working under the direction of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3, you'll operate a wide range of maintenance equipment and tools to inspect, maintain, and repair highways and highway infrastructure. You'll contribute to everything from routine roadway maintenance to emergency response efforts, ensuring transportation systems remain safe and functional in all conditions. This role also offers opportunities to demonstrate leadership by guiding maintenance crews in the absence of a Highway Maintenance Worker 3, making it an excellent position for someone who enjoys teamwork, problem-solving, and taking initiative. **What to Expect** Work is generally performed Monday–Thursday on four 10-hour shifts; however, weekends, holidays, night work, and extended hours may be required for emergency response and non-scheduled callouts. The position requires the ability to report to the duty station within 45 minutes, respond in all weather conditions, and participate in rotational night, standby, and call-back assignments.
