Must have U.S. Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent. This position also requires a valid South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate specialization and fluency in English. Duties: (i) instruct English language learners in assigned high school grade level(s) (9-12) in academic and social skills to ensure that individual student needs, interests, and abilities are met; (ii) assist classroom teachers by modifying instructional tasks as appropriate and communicating required accommodations; (iii) develop an appropriate individualized learning plan with each high school student to include language goals for the year; (iv) assist in other school programs as assigned; and (v) perform other duties as assigned including tutoring high school students, curriculum writing, peer evaluations and/or similar duties.
