Role Summary As a High School Math Teacher, you will inspire and support students in reaching their academic and professional goals. You will deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction across various pathways including Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and Calculus. Working in a supportive, student-centered environment, you will implement a rigorous curriculum that prioritizes conceptual understanding and problem-solving. Working collaboratively with colleagues and the community, you will help every student build the confidence to succeed in a STEAM-focused global economy. Why You'll Succeed (Qualifications) Certified Professional: Valid Missouri Teaching Certification in Mathematics (9-12). Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree, required; Master's degree, preferred. Master of Engagement: You have a "toolbox" of strategies to make complex concepts like trigonometry or quadratic functions accessible and relevant to a diverse student body. Equity Champion: You are committed to disrupting the "I'm not a math person" narrative, ensuring that all students�especially those from underrepresented backgrounds�have access to high-level math pathways. Data-Driven Instructor: You use formative assessment data to differentiate instruction, providing the right balance of support and challenge for every learner. Your Impact (Key Duties) Ignite Analytical Thinking: Design and lead lessons that challenge students to model real-world phenomena, from financial markets to physics, using mathematical functions. Prepare for the Future: Ensure students are proficient in the standards required for the ACT, SAT, and college-readiness, while also fostering a deep love for the beauty of logic. Collaborate for Excellence: Partner with your Math PLC to align curriculum, share successful instructional techniques, and analyze student growth data.
