Application Procedure: Apply online Title: High School Attendance Secretary Department: Office Immediate Supervisor: Vice Principal Job Goal: Responsible for maintaining attendance records. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Answering phone calls pertaining to attendance and entering excuses on the computer. 2. Make phone calls to parents who did not call. 3. Record and mail attendance letters daily. 4. Make sure class attendance sheets are scanned and run end of the day procedures reports for teachers and secretaries. 5. Type correspondence letters for Vice-Principals. 6. Fill out Drop Out Report at the end of the month to be sent to the Board of Education. 7. Take messages for Vice-Principals and make appointments for them. 8. Keep the school calendar book posted. 9. Order supplies for the Vice-Principals office. 10. Assign parking spaces and work closely with security guards. 11. Assign lockers to students and work with custodian in repairing those that do not work. 12. Take care of students who are ill and/or hurt and contact school nurse and parents. 13. Find bus schedules for students. 14. Type withdrawal notices for students who move or drop out of school. 15. Maintain attendance records with Vo-Tech school. 16. Other duties may be assigned. Length of Contract: One hundred eighty-five (185) contract days. Salary commensurate with experience on the negotiated agreement of the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE). Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Vice Principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies, state law, and the negotiated agreement with the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: None. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
