We are looking for a Head of Sales to lead our Inside Sales Team that consists of Inside Sales Sales Managers (IC), Market Intelligence Representatives (MIRs) and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) for the Japan and Korea market. Why is this role so important at Similarweb? This is a managerial position to set the direction and provide support to our sales team based in our Tokyo office. You will report directly to the Head of JPKR, with a matrix line to APJ Dir of Sales Development. So, what will you be doing all day? Be responsible for managing, optimizing and scaling Similarweb’s world-class Sales Team in Japan You will be responsible for strategic deal structuring, accurate deal forecasting, participation in client interactions, and working to upskill and improve the Sales Team’s conversions. Plan the sales penetration strategy for defined markets, identify human resource needs to implement strategy and increase the company reach. Use knowledge of Market Intelligence to effectively articulate our value proposition and benefits to prospects and clients across the Japan and Korea markets. Hiring, training, coaching and supervising a team of Sales Managers, MIRs and SDRs, empowering and enabling them to achieve their respective sales targets. Provide the appropriate infrastructure and resources to develop, track and grow the required expertise of each member of the organization - enabling career development amongst our reps is a key facet of the role Expected to exceed revenue and retention goals through efficient management of the full sales process and world class execution across the entire funnel Effective reporting and forecasting of existing business and new business Development of and contribution to the Japan and Korea long term strategic plan. You will manage and monitor all KPI’s such as calls, emails sent, meetings booked You will represent the front line of the company’s GTM efforts, playing an important role in growing the business. Provide ongoing coaching and training to ensure positive growth and skill development Developing strong relationships with stakeholders within SimilarWeb Conduct regular analysis to understand the root cause of team performance and actions to accelerate growth Other duties and projects required as part of the role This is the perfect job for someone with: 8+ years of total work experience; with 2-3 years of proven experience as a Commercial Leader or Team Manager with a strong track record in building and running successful teams/business units focused on Japan market. Bilingual in English and Japanese Experienced in SaaS Sales, successful in developing and implementing end-to-end strategic business plans on a regional level Salesforce proficiency Strong understanding of the digital marketing space with experience in market Intelligence Solid interviewing skills with experience in hiring and ramping new sales representatives and account managers Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to inspire, lead and motivate multiple teams Proven history of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients At Similarweb, collaborating with our colleagues in-office creates a more connected, unified culture.
